Handwriting for Sales: Simple Brain Strategy to Boost Memory and Business Authenticity

Business Strategies

This is such a crazy, yet important, topic I want to share with you today.

I know it seems not related to selling or leads or even making business simple, but trust me: it’s genuinely related, I promise!

In today’s blog, I’m excited to share with you something I’ve learned and have been learning about handwriting.

By the end of this email, you’ll have such a grasp on why you need to be writing your business stuff rather than typing.

Plus, you’ll see how this will make life much easier.

The Science Behind Handwriting

Two-and-a-half weeks ago from writing this email, I was watching a YouTube video (link) that blew my mind on the study done on handwriting and the power it has on memory and brain work.

If you didn’t know this about me, I’m a Psychology major and one of my favorite things to do while earning my degree was research.

So, when I came across this video, of course I clicked on it because it talked about the brain and journaling.

As I’m listening to it, the speaker brings up that when you physically write out something, it lights up a part of your brain that helps with memory.

Of course, I didn’t fully get it until he brings up the movements of the hand compared to when typing.

Writing lights up different parts of the brain.

They went into another study done on kids.In this study, they found children increased their learning or were smarter by 20%! (Honestly, at the time of writing this, I don’t have the full facts of it, but it’s why I attached/linked the video for you).

The crazy thing is, when I sit down to type any content or talks, my mind goes blank, but when I am writing, I can’t seem to make my handwriting go as fast as my brain is going.

I know, it’s kinda crazy, right?

How Can This Help Business Owners?

With the new age of AI, I’ll be honest, authenticity in voice is becoming obsolete online, and writing on a piece of paper with a pen you may find is time-consuming, and you might be right, but not by a lot.

Maybe an extra two minutes, but I’ll tell you what: your brain will thank you in the long run.

Writing can simplify your business in 2 ways:

1. Help you get creative faster

Okay, I know you can click and create a document on Word fast, then add it to a folder: boom, done!

But your brain power to come up with more ideas in your business will flow bigger, better, and clearer when you write.

You’ll get ideas for something else because your brain is sparking light (both left and right) in areas you probably forgot about.

2. Add It to AI to Transcribe It

Okay, I just talked about AI keeping us inauthentic, which might still be true, but what I’m talking about is you taking a photo, then “sharing” it to AI.

This will not only cut your time by so much, but you’ll still have your own voice while building creative brain power. Crazy, right?

The Challenge

The power of writing already has drastically changed my whole business in a way where I had massive fear to take my business to the next step.

I’m learning more and more about my audience through researching, writing it out, and also creating outlines for my offers.

Writing has lots of power, and yes, it might take a little longer, but imagine the brain power you have because you took the time to write and stay true to yourself.

This is just 2 ways writing has made business simple.

Because I look forward to writing, I challenge you to do something this week.

I want you to write one post to your audience about your business, make it fun, relatable, and something they’d want to hear from you.

Then, share it and see how much of a difference it makes from your other posts.

I’ll see you next time when I talk about Cycle Syncing and Your simplifying your business.
